Attachment Parenting is about forming and nurturing strong connections between parents and their children.  Attachment Parenting challenges us as parents to treat our children with kindness, respect and dignity, and to model in our interactions with them the way we’d like them to interact with others.

Attachment Parenting International (API) is a non-profit organization that networks with parents and professionals around the world.  Through education, support, advocacy and research, API seeks to strengthen families and increase awareness of the importance of secure attachment, ultimately helping reduce or prevent child abuse, behavioral disorders, criminal acts and other serious social problems.

API of Southern Wisconsin offers a supportive environment for the discussion of attachment parenting issues.  We meet to share our experiences and to brainstorm together about our parenting—successes and challenges alike.
